In the summer of 2013 I will be teaching the following course at the University of Toronto:
- HPS210 (July-August)
I had the privilege of teaching HPS210 during the summers of 2012 and 2011, and had a blast doing it. Judging by my feedback, my students seem to have felt the same. Although the structure and curriculum naturally varies from year to year, I hope that my students will enjoy it just as much time around.
You can find a short video of me explaining the chemical diagrams that grace the interior walls of the Chemical Heritage Foundation here.
I was also featured on the program “Canadian Made”, which airs on History Television in which I discussed the development of the 1938 electron microscope created at the University of Toronto by Albert Prebus and James Hillier, which is now held at the Canada Science and Technology Museum in Ottawa. If you’re in Canada you can stream the full episode here. Just go to videos -> Canadian Made -> Episode 12: Revolutionary Perspectives.
